press : new vision recordings - nv9901 - total science vs rareform - banal

review of new vision recordings - nv9901 - mixmag update april 1999 :

this is the first release on the hemel hempstead imprint new vision, and what a corker it is too! i'm going to bring your attention straight to total science's off world edit.

entering the stage with killer shuffling beats, 'banal' soon goes on a futuristic deep vibe. the bass is on a sub tip with razor sharp atmospheric strings adding to this sinister roller.

when played loud it realy kicks and drops correct. this proves that oxford boys spinback and quiffy, aka total science are not just superb djs but excellent remixers / producers too.

this is the sound of the future. a very impressive first release.

rating: 5 dancing men - mixmag update tune of the week.

review of new vision recordings - nv9901 - muzik magazine june 1999 :

a new label which promises big things with this debut, a majestic blend of melodic textures and mystical analogue tones that add perfectly gritty edges.

total science chip in with a delectably deep interpretation, coupled with a furiously funky groove.

debut release for this new camp and already matters are of to a kinda' good start, y'know!

messers paul 'n' quiff are enlisted to re-lick the rareform original of 'banal' into one depth plunger of a number.

you see, by incorporating statified breaks, mind-altering synth swirls and bass that could probably sink about eleven nations straight into the ocean with just one flex, the guys have served up a right little set a' goodies indeed. watch this label, 'peeps...
